Saffron Interactive continue to cement leadership within learning and development after being awarded Gold in the ‘Learning Technologies’ category at the 2022 Learning Awards.
This prestigious industry award recognises Saffron’s AI-enabled coaching and employability support platform, Create Your Own Future. The success at this event forms the most recent in a hat-trick of awards recognition for the pioneering platform and follows previous accolades including the Learning Technologies award for most innovative new product and achieving gold for best blended learning solution in the International E-Learning Association awards (Business Division).
The AI-coaching platform, supported by Nesta in partnership with the Department for Education, was initially developed to support those whose jobs are most at risk because of digital disruption. However, due to the impact of Covid-19, Create Your Own Future was broadened and accelerated to help those that had lost their jobs as a result.
Encompassing ground-breaking innovation, design-based thinking and interwoven with behavioural science, the platform introduces many technological innovations including an AI-enabled video coach. Available 24/7, the coach offers personalised support to the user – leading them through an exploration of their transferable skills, providing job-matching profiles and training recommendations, as well as encouraging the learner to create an action plan for goal completion, using in-built content.
Jane Warwick, key member of the project’s delivery team at the Trades Union Congress stated, “The learner feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Learners want to know more; they feel motivated and in control. Having reviewed their skills and made a plan, they’ve gone on to other learning voluntarily for their own self-development”.
Saffron’s CEO Noorie Sazen had this to say, “Saffron are immensely proud to have received the Gold award as the service offered a vital lifeline for hundreds of individuals furthest away from the labour market. But we are even more excited about how the technology can be used in other applications and in particular, coaching for skills at a cost that is affordable for the entire workforce”.
The platform is continuing to provide invaluable support to hundreds of users and Saffron are working in partnership with organisations as part of the UFI VocTech Challenge to refine the user experience, effectiveness and expand its reach.
