Saffron Interactive, award-winning learning technologies and consultancy provider, and PwC, the world’s largest professional services firm, have been announced as one of only 8 finalists for the worldwide MEDEA awards 2017. The nomination comes for the work Saffron designed with PwC for an innovative project management simulation.
Saffron and PwC are in contention for the MEDEA award for the best professional educational media produced by a professional company, one of two categories that split the 8 finalists.
It’s not the first time Saffron have been involved with the MEDEA awards, having won the award in 2014 for the Digital Prevention Platform they created with AVA (Against Violence and Abuse), aiding the prevention of violence against women and girls in the UK.
‘It’s exciting to be nominated for another MEDEA award’ says Karim Ladak, COO of Saffron, ‘it vindicates the innovative approach we take to driving true behavioural change through media-rich learning environments. This simulation embodies our approach to personalised learning and continuous assessment, delivering real employee engagement across the spectrum of experienced consultants.’
The aim of the MEDEA Awards is to encourage innovation and good practice in the use of media (audio, video, graphics and animation) in education. The awards also recognise and promote excellence in the production and pedagogical design of media-rich learning resources.
The overall winners will be announced on Wednesday 19 April 2017. This year the awards attracted more than 100 entries from 26 countries and the judging panel was made up of 86 judges.
