Business Development Executive

The role

We are currently looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive to join our growing team. This strategic role will focus on identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities across international markets, including the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East, and APAC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating qualified leads, engaging with senior decision-makers, and supporting the development of opportunities from initial discovery through proposal creation and contract discussions. You will be a highly motivated professional with strong relationship-building skills, exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, and experience working within complex B2B environments and with public sector clients.

This is a remote position based in India, requiring flexibility to collaborate across multiple time zones and engage with prospects and clients worldwide.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities across global markets through outbound prospecting, marketing campaigns, industry events, referrals, and inbound enquiries.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities to support company growth objectives.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, including HR, Learning & Development, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams within medium and large enterprises. And employability specialists in government roles.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand client challenges, objectives, and business requirements.
  • Support the development of proposals, presentations, RFP responses, and commercial submissions.
  • Coordinate meetings and presentations across international time zones.
  • Maintain accurate records within Salesforce or CRM systems and track all business development activities.
  • Identify and monitor tender opportunities, procurement portals, and strategic partnership opportunities globally.
  • Collaborate with marketing and delivery teams to create compelling thought leadership content, case studies, blogs, and market-facing materials.
  • Represent the company professionally in virtual and in-person networking events, conferences, and industry forums.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly KPIs relating to lead generation, meetings booked, pipeline growth, and revenue contribution.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, lead generation, or bid/proposal writing.
  • Experience selling learning, technology, digital, consulting, SaaS, or professional services solutions.
  • Experience responding to RFPs, tenders, and procurement processes.
  • Experience working with international clients, particularly within the UK, US, Europe, or APAC markets.
  • Excellent spoken and written English with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with senior decision-makers and C-level executives.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce and lead generation tools.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working remotely.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of B2B sales processes.
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple time zones when required.
  • Knowledge of international business development and cross-cultural communication.
