Saffron Interactive secure shortlisting double at Learning Tech awards

Saffron Interactive’s continued excellence in learning design has resulted in shortlisting for two categories at the 2022 Learning Technologies Awards, alongside partners Samaritans and Barrick Gold.

Aiming to build on previous success at the Learning Technologies annual awards showcase, Saffron is thrilled to announce shortlisting in two categories for 2022. Entered in collaboration with two longstanding partners, both shortlisted projects are recognised for their ‘Excellence in the design of learning content’. The Samaritans Veterans App, which earlier in the year won an IELA Award, has been nominated in LT’s ‘Public & non-profit’ category. And Barrick Gold’s ‘Code of Conduct’ training is hoping for success in the ‘Commercial’ sector counterpart.

Both projects are user-centric in their approach to learning design, using tested and proven behavioural science techniques to deliver on their individual objectives. The Samaritans Veterans App assists Military Service Leavers in developing techniques to successfully navigate the emotional obstacles of transitioning to civilian life. Whereas the Barrick Gold Code of Conduct training encapsulates a captivating, challenging, and meta-verse simulative learning experience that challenges public perceptions of “compliance”.

Subject to a rigorous two stage judging process, the shortlisted organisations and eventual winners are put through their paces by an independent panel of experts facilitated by the Learning Network. Receiving over 500 entries per year, the awards seek to acknowledge the best amidst the astonishing dedication, passion, and ambition displayed throughout the L&D sector.

Noorie Sazen, Saffron’s CEO, stated, “We are honoured to be shortlisted alongside our partners Barrick Gold and Samaritans. With the high calibre of entries the LT Awards receive every year, this is a great achievement for two remarkable projects and the teams behind them. It’s a true testament to the design based thinking principles used in every piece of learning we develop.”

Saffron undertook presentations to the independent panel in both categories this week. The winners will be announced in a gala evening on the 16th of November 2022. Saffron is thrilled to have the opportunity to celebrate continued excellence amongst the sector at the ceremony.

The team will also be showcasing their most recent and ground-breaking innovations at the Learning Technologies Autumn Forum event on 13th October on Stand 9 where they will be revealing Aida, Saffron’s AI enabled skills coach.
